Professor Martin Evans is retired and lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he is actively engaged in progressive political activity.

During his time at the University of Toronto, he taught courses in organizational behaviour and research methods. He served as primary supervisor for of 19 Ph.D. students in Organizational Behaviour and served on an additional 43 doctoral committees in Organizational Behaviour, Marketing, Finance, Social Work, Industrial Relations, Educational Administration, Health Administration and Nursing. Research interests include Leadership, the Nature of Managerial Work, Motivation, Job Satisfaction, and methods of empirical organizational research.

Professor Evans is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, the Association for Psychological Science, and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. In 2002 he also received the Distinguished Educator Award from the Academy of Management.

He is a board member of Common Cause Massachusetts and is a volunteer reader at Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic. He has been a volunteer on several political campaigns.
